Our History and Mission

Founded in 2020, CCWP is a statewide coalition of worker centers, worker advocates, labor policy experts, labor unions, and community organizations to ensure that every worker in California has the power to come together and improve their work conditions and their communities.

Workers march with flags at a rally

The coalition serves as the only alliance bringing together dozens of organizations across California around the single purpose of growing worker organizing.

We believe that all work is valuable and that all working people must have a voice in order for California to succeed in creating a more just and equitable society.

Our Vision

Our vision is for every worker in California, across race, gender, and immigration status, to belong to an organization that provides the structural means to collectively set, maintain, and raise workplace standards beyond the legal minimum.

We believe that worker organizations throughout the state need to be adequately resourced to organize the state’s workforce and to increase the number of organized workers in the state.

Without workers, there is no California
